request a check for the error

Dear sir/madam,

Regarding to my PC with out sound after all the setup, and I have got the
error message from window, that is "Error ID = 0x80040256, Remedy ID =
0x00000000".

so, can you please help me to check this problem out and tell me what should
I have to do?

What are you doing when you get the error message? Are you using WMP? Can
you play any CDs? Do you get any system sounds? Insufficient information
to make any rational reply.
