How strange. What was the main cause for it to disappear, from your
findings?

I haven't any idea Kelly. Last week i was walking my sister through a safe
boot because of a virus she picked up, that's why i knew it was in my
msconfig, yesterday she calls me again for the same reason, another virus
as i walked her through it again, my BOOT.INI was gone! I then noticed on a
boot after cmos scan upper left corner said invalid boot.ini booting from
C:/windows. I copied the following below from the net, pasted and saved it
in notepad as: boot.ini, then copied and then pasted it in C:/windows and
bingo, all is well! Strange thing's happen huh! Yhanks for you interest,
Richard.
[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP
Professional" /fastdetect

Yes, they do and most welcome. Still odd, in my books.
