Req: MS needs a CD-DVD format/erase feature

While working with a new sony DVD-R (-RW) drive, I found
that the INcd agent tends to make the Nero (and other) burn
tools abort with a failure while doing CD-R or CD-RW discs.
However in order to be able to remove the INcd agent from
the system I need an extension or utility that will enable
me to erase and reformat the CD-RW, DVD-RW, DVD+RW discs. Is
there any such utility available?
If so, please provide a link to that utility.

Windows only does CD so ask about DVDs elsewhere. You can erase CD-RW disks in windows. Use help and try using your brain in future..

You could try DVDInfo at http://www.dvdinfopro.com

Hi,

Click Help & Support, search for "erase CD". DVD media is not natively
supported, so you have to use a third party application for that.
