republishing after creating Sub Web

Once I publish my web site, open it live and convert one
of the folders to a sub web, what happens to the sub Web
the next time I publish my Web, which contains the folder
prior to being converted to a sub Web, to my web site?

you should also convert your local folder into a subweb. you can then
publish subwebs independently. if you want to on the publish dialog box you
can set it to publish subwebs too. I usually do the subs on an individual
basis for speed and safety.

You need to also convert the folder to a subweb on your local machine.
Otherwise, FP will see it as a conflict.
