*Repost* recordset is unupdatable at this time

This is my orginal post:
I recently released the front end of my database for use, I have had several
users inputting records with no problem, however this morning one user
reported that the database will not allow him to input anything, in the
bottom ribbon it says "recordset is unupdatable at this time". He said he
tried again and an error pops up saying "unavailable and only in
administrator status"

Does anyone know what is causing this? The database is split and I am the
administrator, but the only thing I had open was the front end just like he
did...

I then had another user have the same problem, I also posted on this with
additional details:
I am having the same issue again with another user. I do have a copy of the
Front End of the database open, it is my master copy. I use the Auto FE
Updater. I have a master copy of the Front end that I make changes to, I
then save a ACCDE copy of the Front End which is automatically updated for
the users. I currently have this master copy open and it is therefore not
allowing my users to input records,

Any suggestions?

I don't have a fix for your problem. But a work around is that you copy the
BE and set your Master FE to work with BE copy not the actual BE.

Thus your opened master FE can not interfere with your users - - -plus of
course you can put in test data and not pollute your real data. This is my
normal way to work...which maybe explains why I've never seen your issue. I
never use my development FE on the real BE.

As to why your opened FE is causing a block to other users....will be
interested in an MVP explanation on this point....

That is a great suggestion, I think I will do that if I can't get any other
solutions.
Thanks!
