I think this is a repost ... I never saw the first one appear ?

Anyway ...

Hi,

The machine is Win2K Server SP4.

I try to start the Task scheduler service and get a popup that says :

"Microsoft Management Console
Could not start the Task Scheduler on Local Computer.
Error 2147500037: Unspecified error."

I have searched Google and found a suggestion about SharedSection settings
at
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session
Manager\SubSystems
I tried increasing the 3rd heap size there (from 3072 to 4096) but it made
no difference.

I search MSDN and technet and didn't find anything that could help.

If anyone has any ideas I'd be very grateful - I'm afraid that's all I can
offer ;-)

Cheers,

Adam.

Check Event Viewer for more details. You might try deleting any existing
scheduled tasks. There may be corruption
associated with one or more tasks.

This may also apply.

Thanks for the suggestion, Dave.

I used windows update to get all the latest service packs \ fixes on the
machine, but it's still the same :-(

Guess something else must be going on there.

Thanks anyway,

Adam.
