Report with columns

Paradigm

I have a report with 2 columns. Is there a way of drawing a vertical line
between the 2 columns without having a line at the start of the first column
or the end of the 2nd column.

remove border of each field, the create a Line between the 2 columns..

The detail section and field are set to can grow so if I do as you suggest
then there are gaps in the line whenever the field grows to a greater
height.
