report printing dillemma

I have a report that takes 1 minute 20 seconds to open in preview. The qry
is fine and so on. But, when I went to print it, it is showing that it is
printing to a printer in one of our other offices. It should have printed
out on the printer next to my computer (nonnetworked). When I created the
report and first printed it, I was in that other office. I no longer have
any other printers then those in our office listed. But it still prints to
the other. I guess my question is; is there some hidden place within A2k
that says which printer to print to? I looked all over my computer and did
not find the pinter listed. Anyone else have this problem. I would hate to
have to delete and redo the report.

Try this sequence:

1. Make sure that Name AutoCorrect is off, i.e. uncheck the boxes under:
Tools | Options | General | Name AutoCorrect
Explanation:
http://allenbrowne.com/bug-03.html
Some of the bugs of this misfeature cause reports to forget their correct
settings.

2. Compact the database:
Tools | Database Utilities | Compact

3. Open the report in design view.
Choose Page Setup from the File menu.
On the Page tab, make sure the report is set for Default Printer.
Make a small design change (e.g. renaming a label).
Save.

4. Compact again.

If that does not solve the problem, make sure you have SP3 for Office 2000.

Allen, thanks for the response. I went straight to #4 and made the change
and it works just fine now. I started thinking that I was in the other
office using the other printer as my default so I could print at the office.
Thanks. Something I need to remember in the future.
