report layout - section breaks

Hi,
I need help with my report... I'm trying to print our summaries of data we
hold on each of our groups so that they can check it and send it back with
any corrections.
Because the data comes from lots of different tables and queries, I'm using
a lot of sub-reports. This is fine except when one of them will extend
because there are lots of entries, pushing the rest of the data down the page
and into the footer, sometimes even splitting fields between pages.

I want to keep my information readable and under the correct headings (ie
each subreport on the same page) but I also want to condense the information
as much as possible ie I don't want to send a group 5 pages when they only
really have enough information to fill 2 - so I don't want to completely rely
on page breaks

What do I do??!! Are there section breaks or something that I can group my
data with?

Please help!

Hi Ket,

Access reports have up to 10 levels of sorting and grouping, so, yes,
you can use those for section breaks... but it really depends on your
data and how you have it laid out. You do not have much control over
subreports... but perhaps your reports can be designed differently to
take advantage of the report groupings.

Can you explain, in detail, what you report looks like and the structure
of the tables it is based on?

Warm Regards,
Crystal
