Reply normal to a bold font e-mail

When I reply to an e-mail that was written in a bold font, my reply also
appears in a bold font. If I set the font to Normal and then begin typing
my reply, it immediately reverts to bold. How can I force a Normal font
reply?

Tools>options>send tab> reply to message in same format as received, disable
it>apply/ok
