font in Windows Mail

The bold font in windows mail on my vista PC is horrible - its too bold. The
fonts I am talking about is on the startup where you have inbox outbox sent
items etc.. and when I am composing messages in plain text. Do you know how
it can be changed?

I have tried adjusting windows appearance and effects and turning on and off
cleartype and I have also adjusted the text sizes in windows mail but I
still cannot get it to look good.

Any ideas please?

Thanks

Andy.

Thanks but sorry maybe I didn't explain it very well. Its the actual fonts
in the Windows Mail program itself I don't like not the actual font format
when sending mail or news messages.

By any chance are you using a laptop or an LCD screen?
I have found that if my screen resolution is lower than the
native (recommended) resolution, then the bold text in
Windows Mail will be too bold.

Thanks, you have hit the nail on the head it is a desktop with LCD
flatscreen and I turned the screen res down because to make things look
bigger - at its native resolution everything was too small (like taskbar &
buttons and text etc..) Maybe I will have to go back to native resolution
for the monitor.

Thanks for your feedback. High resolution screens are not always
good for us older folk with presbyopia.
