Replicating MS Office Desktop to Laptop

I need advise/help on how to take Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point,
etc.. files from a desktop running XP and replicating them to a laptop
also running XP.

I think of the task as a PDA (Palm Pilot) synchronizing with a desktop.

Can this be done wireless? The laptop can share files with the desktop
via a wireless router.

Yes, you can use Offline files:

It doesn't matter that the network uses wireless connections.
