I have been using an ATT branded internet explorer 6.0 w/updates but have
changed ISP's to SBC which has a browser w/o features I prefer. I can use
the ATT browser but it includes some links (like "help"), that I don't want.
From the IE technical pages it appears that you cannot simply remove the
browser and load IE6 alone from the OEM CD. It does appear that you can do
an internet d/l however but there are no details. I can see that you cannot
use the control panel/remove program option to remove what is there now. Can
you d/l IE6 and write over the current browser?

Have you tried just removing the branding?

How to remove branding.
To remove all Internet Explorer branding, follow these steps:
1. Click Start.
2. Click Run.
3. Type

rundll32.exe iedkcs32.dll,Clear

and then click OK.

4. Restart Internet Explorer.

Actually, that was the kind of answer I was hoping I might get. Thank you
very much!
