Replacing boot.ini

Hi

I want to replace/modify my boot.ini to remove the /safeboot option. Which
is the best and the safest way to do it

1) Use bootcfg /rebuild
2) Get a boot.ini on a floppy from a friend and replace it

Is there any way of editing the existing file and removing the /safeboot
option?

Thanks

Hi PN - You should be able to just uncheck that option in msconfig/boot tab
for the selected OS (if more than one) then Apply and OK out.

Hi

My m/c is not booting up right now. I have no option but to use the recovery
console. Considering the fact that I had used msconfig to turn on the
safeboot option and my m/c refused to boot, I will think twice about using
msconfig in the future.
