Replacing BIOS to speed boot time.

Hi All,
After reading the recent thread about reducing resume-from hibernation
time i am intrigued about using a BIOS to reduce bootup times.

I would like to know if anyone else has used an aftermarket BIOS to
reduce their boot times, and if so, what were the results:
Was it easy?
How much boot time did you save?
How much does it cost?
Are there other companies out there doing this?

I have used several different BIOS... the one that seems to be the fastest
for me is Phoenix. They are popular with Intel. They have a Quick Boot and
Quiet Boot Feature that masks all the enumeration, and also quickly performs
the checksums. It gets through the POST phase in about 2-3 seconds usually,
as long as you're not auto detecting peripherals.
