Anyway to reduce time to be seen by another PC running PING afterreboot?

I am able to get an XPe build (with lots of needed features) to boot
to the Desktop
in 40 seconds (using EWFMGR on Compact Flash, having all the
components for
Internet Explorer and TCP/IP, having latest Network driver, a
hardcoded IP address,
and a Windows Explorer style startup).

I like the 40 seconds boot time. :)
(This includes getting past BIOS and seeing the Windows XP logo.)

But it takes another 42 seconds after this point for another PC to be
able to successfully "PING" the newly booted XPe box.

Is there a way to reduce that 42 seconds?

Changing the "Always wait for the network at computer startup and
login" in the
GPEDIT.MSC ( under "System", "Login" ) to enabled or disabled does not
change
the 42 seconds.

And "ARP -A ipaddress" will give the newly booted XPe's MAC address
and IP address
as soon as the newly booted XPe machine shows it's Desktop. (Just be
aware the entry
has to be removed with "ARP -D ipaddress" after turning off the XPe
machine because
ARP caches entries.)

The answer was to remove unnecessary Services.
PING (the XPe machine) is now working for another PC (on the same network)
a couple seconds before the XPe machine boots to the Desktop.

All the follwoing could be removed:
Telephony
SNMP Services
Cryptographic Services
DHCP Client
IPSEC services
IPv6 Helper Service
Print Spooler
Remote Registry
Smart Card
Themes
Wireless Zero Config
