Hello:
I purchased a second hand notebook computer privately and it does not have
the original (or any) Windows XP Pro CD.

The computer is an IBM Thinkpad and has the license sticker with the
product key on it for Windows XP Professional.

How do I get the CD replaced? AM I entitled to a replacement?
What choices do I have?

Thanks

IBM should be able to supply you with the OEM version of XP for their
computer.

If you own the licence and have a valid key (the sticker or the bottom)
then you can order a media kit from most big online retailers. If you
bug IBM they should replce the disk but be warned that a lot of oem off
the shelf computers do not come with proper xp cd's but with a recovery
disk, sometimes not even that.

I just bought a used Sony with XP installed. It had sticker with CD key. I
just ordered a recovery CD set from them for about $30 including shipping.
I think it is far that they charge for replacement and the price is
certainly less and a retail disk.
