Replace Outlook's Email Template?

I've created my own email template and would like to replace the one Outlook
uses by default when creating or responding to email messages. Is that
possbile? Can a custom template override the default template when clicking
the New or Reply buttons?

Currently, I resorted to creating a custom button on my toolbar that
hyperlinks to my template. That works fine for creating new messages, but I
also want replies to use that template. Thanks!

What functionality does your template do? While it is technically possible to substitute a published message form for Outlook's default form, it's a very bad idea that will cause problems for non-Outlook recipients.

Nothing sophisticated; I simply like having 6pt. character spacing between
paragraphs rather than having to press Enter twice to create space between
them. Lazy, I know, but that's my preference.

Best to use stationery for that, not a template. The page at http://blogs.officezealot.com/legault/archive/2005/07/21/7581.aspx might be useful.

Also, you should be aware that anyone who reads your messages in plain text will see the paragraphs all jammed together, with no blank lines between them.
