replace mdw file

I have somehow stuffed up my mdw file. I was clearing a password for a user,
and appear to have cleared the password for the Admin user which has caused
me to not be able to even open the database. That is, there is no logon
prompt for username and password. It just gives me the 'you dont have
permission' error message.

I have a backup of the .mdw file, can I simply log all users out of the
database and just replace this fiel with my backup? Will this potentially fix
the problem?

Yes it will, however you could also open Access while joined to your stuffed
up mdw file. You don't need a database to be open.

While in a session joined to this workgroup, just go to Tools, security,
accounts, and change password tab and reset a password for the Admin user.

Many thanks. Replaced file and all is happy.

I may not know VBA inside out, but from the outside I am looking in.
