Replace Interface Controller?

The Vista-ready evaluation of my computer says that all is OK, and I can
install Vista Home Premium. It also says that I should replace a device:
Intel 82801DB LPC Interface Controller - 24C0. What is this device and how
do I replace it?

Hi,

It may simply indicate that you will need an updated driver from Intel for
this controller cable, not that you actually need to replace the cable
itself.

Thanks, Rick. That's helpful. What do I look for on the Intel site, in
order to get the correct updated driver? Sorry to be so illeterate about
these things.

Thanks, Rick. I think I downloaded the XP driver (INFINST_ENU.EXE), but
unfortunately the Vista evaluation program still says the LPC Interface
Controller needs to be replaced! Guess I need a Vista driver.
