Repetitive Automatic Updates

For some reason, everyday when I come home the "automatic
updates" icon is in the system tray telling me the
updates are ready to be installed. The problem is that
it is the same update every single day. Right now it is
a security update for outlook express.

This happened to me before about 2 months ago where the
same update was ready to be installed everyday. After
more than a month of loading it, it stopped. Now the
problem is back.

I've tried rebooting the computer after installing the
update, but that doesn't help. The same update is there
again the next day.

Anyone know how to fix this?

windows update is apparently corrupted. this is happening
to many users of auto update. even someone who ,it would
seem had some virus or spyware downloading windows update,
but with a virus attached ...manual updating is the only
way to go.

That's bad info. You don't get spyware/virus from the update site. If
you go online w/o a firewall active and go to the update site, then you
could get malware but that's not from the site itself, that's from not
being protected when going online.

Carlos, you should direct your question to the experts in the windows
update news group:

msnews.microsoft.public.windowsupdate
