Repairing Windows XPPro SP2

My computer is having trouble shutting down. I put in the OEM XPPro disk,
expecting t o get an install/repair option, but because I have service pack 2
installed it declined to be of help.
Is there a place at Microsoft.com (or elsewhere) where I can do the same
repair job online?

Did you boot it with the OEM XPPro disk with the CDROM set for first boot
device? That would be the way to get to repair...
