repairing pst files

Have you ever seen when you are repairing a pst file that it over wright the
file. Or does it create a new one?

No! Normally scanpst.exe creates a copy (filname.pst.bak) - if checkbox
ist checked - from your pst file before it starts to repair the original
file. If your original file is now empty, it seems something went wrong
during this action.
