explorere keeps crashing on me so I was going to try and reapir it but when I
go to add and remove programs it is not listed there
anyone know why this amy be and how do i repair it if its not listed as an
installed program

Because Explorer is part of the core of Windows and it cannot be
installed/removed as a separate program.

IE does not appear in Add/Remove in XP.

I believe he was asking about Explorer - not Internet Explorer.

His post was indicating an IE problem.

I do mean internet explorer using version 6.0.290 with sp2
I thought if you went to add remove programs you got the option to repair it
but it is not listed there

No, It is not listed in XP SP2.
That is normal.
