Repair Install problem

I have run xp install repair by booting from the CD multiple times. This
time I tried a couple different things that did not work. I started the CD
while I was in windows and choose upgrade. It asked if I wanted the latest
setup files from the web and I said yes. After it cranked away on the
replacing files it rebooted. Upon reboot it did not come up to the rebuilt
windows. Instead It came up to the Start Windows Normally menu(Safe mode
menu). I ran repair again this time by booting from the CD. I got the same
results. I can I fix this and finish my repair??
