Hi All.
Decided to try a repair on my unbootable XP Home
installation as per instructions from this http:
http://www.digitalwebcast.com/2002/03_mar/tutorials/cw_boot
_toot.htm
I understand what he is doing so went ahead, but hit a big
snag - there is meant to be a subdirectory in the windows
XP file called "repair". Well, there isn't, and when I
checked on my other machine running XP, there isn't one in
there, either. This directory is meant to contain copies
of the various key files in the windows system 32 config
directory.
Anyone know why this directory isn't there, or whether it
is called something else? If so, then I can continue
having a go at a repair, if not, then it will be a
reinstall or add another hard drive on and do a clean
install through that.
TIA for any help.
