Reocurring reminder for Reocurring Tasks - how?

Using XP SP3 with Outlook 07 with BCM...

I am now syncing my appointments in outlook with my cell phone and it works
fine. But that means I want to get appointments down to true appointments,
and not reminders of other things.

For example, I have as an appointment 0 minutes long about Payroll every two
weeks reoccurring with no end date with a pop up reminder (every two weeks).

I tried to move that to tasks, and could achieve everything but the pop up
reminder every two weeks. It seems the only reminder is the first occurrence
of the task, and not the reoccurring task. This doesn't seem intuitive.

Is there a workaround or a way to do the above without it being an
appointment?

Thanks
Bob

You need to mark complete the first task for the next one to occur - right
click on it in the reminder pane and mark complete.

Yes, I see what you are saying and it does work as you indicate. That means,
however, if I miss marking complete one every two week occurrence, the task
and the task alarm will go away from there forward. Very risky and requires
more work. It all happens automatically as an appointment with 0 time
reoccurring every two weeks.

Thanks for your help.
