reoading of word for windows

My PC crashed recently and I had to start from scratch.
Now when I try to use Word it asks for the 24 digit number
on the sleeve, I have the CD but not the number. I
probably threw the boxes away when I got my Pc a couple of
years ago. I have managed to get Home publishing and some
others working but things like Word and encarta won't.
Can anyone help?

If it was retail, you may be able to get a new key from Microsoft. If it was
OEM, you'll need to contact the computer manufacturer that supplied the
software in the first place.
