I use the MVP hosts file and RenHosts.bat and like the results a lot.
However there are times when I have used RenHosts to stop the blocking and
then had a senior moment and forget to reactivate the file to HOSTS. Is
there a change that I could make to the program to change the icon to red or
do something so it would be obvious that the blocking is not active?

Hi David - One cautionary note. While I haven't checked it in some time,
the HostsToggle utility used to not re-name the HOSTS file correctly - ie,
to all caps, no extension as required. This is why RenHosts was developed.
If this is still true, I would advise being cautious about using it instead
of RenHosts or manually re-naming your HOSTS file, since an incorrectly
named HOSTS file has been shown to cause trouble in the past.

I remember the thread on this subject.
I have used it and my hosts file was not all caps. Never had any problems.
But the cautionary note is valid for some users.
