/renew DHCP NACK issue

M

microsoft

on any client pc, if i run an ipconfig /release and try to boot and pull
dhcp, the server only responds with a NACK and assigns some goofy
localdomain address... 192.168.233.x

even on ipconfig /renew 's i get NACK's or access is denied.

does anyone have any ideas... i've gone through my dhcp server numerous
times... everything is setup properly...

thanks

Sonny,
Why do you consider the local IP address "goofy"?
What IP range has you DHCP been set to issue?
What was the OS of the client PC?
Are any of them set to "share" an internet connection? If
so then the sharing PC will give itself an IP of
192.168.0.1 and issue an IP of 192.168.x.x to PCs that
request to share.
What do you mean by "everything is set up properly?" [a
small attempt at humor]
