renaming the system

hi

how do we rename the server which has domain controller
installed on it , is it possible to change the name of the
system without uninstalling Domain controller.

any help in this regard will be greatly appreciated

No direct way to do this in Win2000 (I believe) -- make another DC
(DCPromo); transfer all roles there, and the GC;

DCPromo (not a DC) the older machine -- rename it.
DCPromo (to a DC).
