Renaming DFS Folder

C

Casey

I have a DFS replicated folder shared as 'DFS$' (for example). That
share is locally mapped to C:\DFS$, when it should actually be
'C:\DFS'. I didn't realize the mistake until after 11 gigs were
replicated to it over the WAN. What is the best way rename this
folder, without breaking replication?

I have tried: Renaming the folder to C:\DFS, resharing the folder to
DFS$, loading up ADSIEDIT and changing the FRSrootpath for that target
to C:\DFS, then restarted the FRS service. However, it keeps looking
for the old location.

Any ideas? I ran Sonar (haven't run Ultrasound against it yet), and
Sonar reports that the path is set to C:\DFS. The Event view still
reports that it needs the old path.
