renamer tool with good filter (request)

Hello all,

I'm desesperately looking for a good and free renaming files tool.
I know they are plenty of this kind, but i didn't find the one i want.

Here are the option needed :
first of all : good filter !
two : work with recursive folders

Good filter, that means, more better than poor extension filter.
For example, i need some date filter (juste work with recent, old,
pictures) and some case sensitive filter (for exemple, 'xxx' is
different from 'XXX'.

The freewares (lupas, 1for4, and some other) i used to work with are
not able do to such a job (or i don't know how).

Some idea ?

I tried Flexible Renamer but,
i didn't find any advanced filter.
Only extension filter and not case sensitive.
I may be wrong, but not good for my job.

lower left hand corner, "menu" box allows you to add/remove/change case
etc. Clicking on advanced gives you more. Don't see a way to filter by
date, though. I use it mainly to shorten file lengths as Nero has a 64
character file name limit. Flexible Renamer can go through a folder
containing 30 more folders and quickly pull out only the offending files
for renaming.

Pricelessware.org also lists THE Rename, which I believe is popular, and I
used at one time. I don't believe it does recursive, though.
