Is removing write protection from a cd possible, if so how?
Thanks in advance.

No it is not possible, data on a CD are by nature write protected. If you
want to modify a file, copy it to the PC, change it, and reburn to CD.

The full name of what you call a "CD" is "CDROM." Note the "RO" part
of that name. It stands for "Read-Only." It's the nature of the medium
and can't be removed.
