Removing WinXP from one computer and installing on another.

I understand that Windows XP cannot be put on two
computers at one time from the same disc. I want to
uninstall XP Home and put it on another computer, and then
install XP Pro on the first computer. I bought and
installed XP Home to use on building my website. It
wasn't until after I installed it that I found I couldn't
use it. XP Home does not support Personal Web Server (PWS)
and XP Pro does. Since I have already installed and
registered XP Home on one computer, how can I uninstall
and unregister and install and register to my other
computer.

Since you have the retail version you can move this
to a different machine, something you cannot do with
an OEM version. To do this you only need to completely
remove it for the prior machine. When you activate you
may have to do so by phone, but it should not be a problem.

PS. activation is not registration.
