Removing Windows Messenger and Pinball from XP

After removing Windows Messenger and Pinball from an
installation of XP Pro, Ghosting it, and then installing
on other systems using SysPrep, Messenger and
Pinball 'come back' with newly created users. The
Messenger reappearance may have been associated with
Outlook XP somehow.

How do I eliminate these components from the environment,
and keep them from coming back? I can't find the registry
reference in the XP Resource Kit.
Thank you,
John

I also have a problem with Windows Media Player re-
asserting itself. I would like to have it available to
play streaming media items 'clicked-on' at web sites, but
not launched & used for CD playing, etc.

Thanks,
John
