Can someone outline the steps that I need to take to uninstall win 98
and the boot screen that gives a choice.

W98se is on my C: partition and Xp is on my D: partition

Can I simply erase the windows folder on C:? I think I was previously
advised to rename C:windows to say c:windows98 and wait a while to
make sure nothing was amiss.

I seem to recall there is a batch file boot something that I also need
to amend.

I also am giving this computer to my wife to use. How do I change the
reference from my name :ie Gordon to Judy?

Start -> Run -> enter "notepad d:\boot.ini" -> Find the line that has
"win 98", delete the line, Save and restart your system to see if it
is done.
