Removing Vista from Dual boot

I installed Vista Home Premium as dual boot.
WinXP Home on partition 1 and Vista on Partition 2.
How do I remove the Vista OS without affecting the XP OS.
Can I just delete the Vista Partition? If so, how do I remove
the boot files on the first partition?
Both OS's are retail/boxed version.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks...Dave
 
Boot into Windows XP, open My Computer, right click the partition on which
Windows Vista is installed and click Format. To clean up the boot entries,
use EasyBCD by Neosmart Technologies:
