I am attempting to install a Mustek 1200 III EP scanner. I have the latest drivers for XP according to their Tech Support. The instructions said I was to remove the TWAIN,TWUNK drivers from C:\. As soon as I delete them they are replaced and I have a copy in Recycle Bin and C:\. Tech support said I needed to start in Safe Mode. I can't find any HELP on how to do this. I tried restart, but F8 didn't give me logon options or give me any messages suggesting how to do it during logon like my Windows 2000 Pro does. It is an OEM version on an E-Machine so I didn't get any supplemental information on the OS.

Hi

You need to go into Device Manager and uninstall *all* devices that use those files - then reboot.
