Removing the bootup (click on user name).

On both of my desktop XP machines, with XP Home, they just load XP. On
my laptop, which I bought with XP Pro pre-installed, I always have to
click on a "user" before it completely boots. I have it set to single
user (I think). I do not have to enter a password (thank God). But
it's still an annoying extra step which I'd prefer to eliminate.

Part of my question is HOW to change this, and part this is whether this
is REQUIRED in XP Pro, versus XP Home. The computer is a Lenova T43.
When I got it, I had to click on T43 user. I changed that to another
name, but I still have not found a way to eliminate it. Or "IF" it can
be eliminated using XP Pro????

Have you installed tweakui yet?

I got it done. Tweakui did it under Login.

Thanks

Yay! It's easy to figure out.
(Good links by Bob F, too.)
