Removing Startup Folder

I accidentally moved the wrong folder onto the desktop. So
now the Startup folder is on the desktop. When I try to
delete my Startup Folder from the desktop, Windows gives
me an error/message and says, "Startup is a Windows system
folder and is required for Windows to run properly. It
cannot be deleted." Is there any way that I can go into
the registry and change something? I have ried System
Restore and Safe Mode, but still no luck. I would greatly
appreciate some help on this subject. Thank you all for
your time.

Hi Chris,

Open Windows Explorer and try dragging it back to where it was supposed to
be:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

If they are OEM, which it seems they might be, you will need to contact
the OEM, in this case Gateway.
