Does anyone know how to remove the words "Recent Documents" from the
Office menu? (Not the actual documents themselves but the words
"Recent Documents".)

Why would you want to do that?

Because the "Recent Documents" has no meaning to the user's of this
particular app I'm working on.

So no ideas then?

GooggleGroups is still having trouble with wildcards for Group selection.

I believe the relevant Registry keys are here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Microsoft -> Office -> 12.0 -> Access->
File MRU

Wouldn't this suggestion simply removing the documents listed as
opposed to removing the words "Recent Documents" in the Office Menu.
I don't see how a registry setting would affect a label within the
app... but maybe I'm wrong.

Sorry, I did not read this entire thread. I thought you wanted to remove the
current recent documents list. I have no idea how to resolve your issue in
the manner you desire. A quick search of the MS KB yielded a method to stop
the Recent Documents list from ever showing any files but no method to
change/delete the Icon/Button.

I don't have A2007 installed yet. If the Button is on the application Ribbon
then there are Ribbon editors out there. I don't knwo if they will do the
job..

One of the Access MVP's just posted a possible solution for a similiar
issue. He suggested creating a Popup form, sized to fit over the offending
Button/Icon, MoveSixedd into position on your apps startup. If he posts this
to his Blog I'll let you know in this thread.
