Removing PC from LAN Workgroup

I have several computers on a LAN. I would like to remove
one of the computers from the network. Can someone give
me directions on how to accomplish this.

What kind of network do you use?
Win-Server?
Novell-Server?
Workgroup or Domain?
Client/server-Net or just peer-to-peer?

Otherwise just unplug the networkcable and everything is fine.
