I am trying to run XP Pro on our laptop. The problem is
there are two OS in the hard drive, in separate
partitions. I am unable to delete the partition with the
old OS. Any ideas as to how to reconfigure this to run
only XP? I can get more info if needed. Thanks in
advance.

If you REALLY want to remove the old OS and remove the partiton then boot
using a floppy, run FDISK to remove the old partitons, reboot using the
floppy, run FDISK again to create one partiton, reboot using the floppy,
format the hard drive.

Put the bootable XP CD in the CD ROM drive (you may have to change the BIOS
settings to boot from the CD) and reboot. The XP setup program will now ask
you what to do.
