Removing Outlook and IE Icons from Desktop

All,
I find having Outlook & IE in the taskbar, start menu and
on the desktop annoying, (at the least.) How can I remove
them from the desktop without hurting them.

Just delete them off your desktop, and quick launch
taskbar, leave the ones in the start menu. Deleting them
is only deleting the shortcut them self. Outlook and IE
will still work. I use IE alot, and I leave that in the
quick launch.
