removing old (autofill) entries from address bar

I would like to know how to delete the list of auto
complete entries in IE 6.0. I have already tried
tools/internet options/clear history, delete files, delete
cookies, etc... and that's not it.
When you open an IE window and press f4 and get a list of
all websites you've visited. I cannot find anything in
the on- line docs. Help please.
Thanks!!
ps - in older versions you could highlight the entry with
the mouse, then press control + delete and it would be
removed. That's not working now. :-(

Thanks a lot! I'm not quite sure that I understand what
to do with the 2nd one. How does it work?
