Hi,
How do I remove "My Documents " folder from the root?

I tried to remove it but couldn't.

Thanks

From the root of what? What do you want to do, rename it, move it
elsewhere, not display it on your desktop, etc.?

Delete it from the root directory.

.

What is the "root" directory. Are you running Unix or something?

You can delete it, but it will be recreated the next time the user logs on.
The "My Documents" folder is whatever path is specified at

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentvErsion\Explorer\User shell
folders\Personal

If you change the path in that key, that is where the "my documents" will
exist. The directory itself does not have to be named "my documents." I
believe you can also change the location through a GUI interface by right
clicking on the My Documents folder on the desktop, clicking properties, and
changing the location there.
