Removing multiple copies of XP

Recently I had to reinstall Windows XP. Now when I boot I
get a selection screen asking me to choose which Windows
XP I want to start ... how do I delete the old (corrupt)
versions of Windows XP from (1) the selection list (2) my
disk.
 
Go to control panel > system > advanced > startup and recovery > settings >
Edit
Delete the line that points to the other windows(make sure it's the correct
one)
Save and exit. Restart.
