if you are meaning msn messenger, first end-task msm*** process in task
manager. this will be visible by loosing the msn messenger icon from
systray. Next goto program files folder and rename the .EXE file. Do not
try to delete it.
From the next reboot msn messenger would not trouble you...
Make sure you can see hidden files first! Navigate to C:WinNTInf. Open
sysoc.inf and find msmsgs=msgrocm.dll,OcEntry,msmsgs.inf,hide,7 in the
file and take out the word hide so the line would look like
msmsgs=msgrocm.dll,OcEntry,msmsgs.inf,,7 Close the file and save it.
Now go to the Add and remove programs applet in the control panel and
you will be able to uninstall windows messenger.
To remove Windows Messenger, close down Messenger if it's running (right
click the messenger icon in the notification area/system tray and click
close). Then click the start button, then click Run and type in (copy-paste
