Can't remove MSN Gaming Zone

2

I am trying to get rid of MSN Gaming Zone. I'm down to two folders "MSN
Gaming Zone" and subfolder "windows". I deleted the contents in safe
mode (no Uninstall anywhere. Bundled with a bunch of other junk
programs on my new pc.) However, the folders are being serviced with a
"persistant installation" process.
How do I identify what is servicing MSN Gaming Zone and remove it so I
can delete the folders? (They give a "used by another program" error
with tying to delete)

The first step is to identify which process is using it.
Get the freeware "Process Explorer" from:
Start it up and do a
Find->Find Handle or DLL->[enter your folder name]

This should reveal what is using it allowing you to take appropriate
action.

Thanks John,
I'll pop over there and try out that download. Sounds like you steered
me in the right direction.

Open "Add/Remove Windows Components", Accessories, Games, and deselect
"Z Internet Games".
